GENERALITIES
Ireland is a sovereign member of the European Union, which occupies most of the island of the same name. It has three of the four historic provinces: Leinster, Connacht and Munster Ulster being the fourth largest of which, known as Northern Ireland, part of the United Kingdom. In 1949 the Irish state was declared as the Republic of Ireland.
The state is a republic with a parliamentary system of government. The President of Ireland, who serves as Head of State is elected for a term of seven years and may be reelected only once. The president has overall protocol functions, but has certain constitutional powers and functions, assisted by the State Council, an advisory body.
PATRIOTIC SYMBOLS
The
national flag of Ireland is a tricolor consisting of three equal sized vertical
stripes: green, white and orange. The orange stripe represents the Protestants
of Ireland and the green represents the Catholics of the country. The white
represents the peace that eventually come between them.
The coat of
Ireland is the official coat of arms of the Republic of Ireland from November
9, 1945. It consists of an escutcheon azure with a golden harp with silver
strings, thus consolidating the tradition of Gaelic harp, clarsach call, as the
traditional heraldic emblem of Ireland. His official heraldic description is:
In field of azure, a harp of gold silver rope.
CAPITAL CITY

Dublin is the capital of the Republic of Ireland. It is located near the center of the east coast of the island at the mouth of the River Liffey and at the center of County Dublin.
Dublin is a vibrant city, with shopping streets in the crowded center at all hours and with an atmosphere of local pubs is different from the rest of Europe. What's more, the nightlife in Dublin is very lively.
IMPORTANT CITIES

Is the capital of County Cork, is located in the province of Munster and has an important seaport.
Westport is a town in County Mayo in Ireland. It is in the south-east corner of Clew Bay, an inlet of the Atlantic Ocean on the west coast of Ireland. Westport is a popular tourist destination and has a high quality of life score.

Phoenix
Park is a large park located 3 kilometers northwest of the city center of
Dublin in Ireland. It measures 712 hectares and consists of a walled circumference
of 16 kilometers of green areas and avenues of trees in a row.


Kilkenny
Castle is a castle located in the eponymous town in County Kilkenny Republic of
Ireland. This was the residence of the Butler family, formerly called
Fitzwalter.

Moher are located in the southwestern boundary of the region of The Burren,
near Doolin, County Clare in the Republic of Ireland.

MEALS
Some
typical Irish cuisine are the Irish stew and bacon and cabbage (boiled
together). The Boxty is a traditional dish. In Dublin coddle is very popular,
which is made with pork sausage cooked. Ireland is famous breakfast, served
mainly with pork fried potato and may include farls.
One
of the drinks associated with the Guinness Ireland is often served in pubs, but
is also popular la Smithwicks.
SPORTS
Major
sports and are followed in Ireland hurling and Gaelic football, which the Irish
called simply football, authentic sports organized by the Gaelic Athletic
Association, which also organizes national minority sports.
